Vanways was a startup offering camper van rentals for those looking to explore the Southwest and experience van-life. They needed a brand identity that could stand apart in a growing category while creating a recognizable presence across their fleet.
We developed the brand from the ground up, shaping the name, identity, and visual direction around a modern, timeless, and travel-inspired aesthetic. The goal was to create something distinctive and flexible, while reflecting the sense of movement and exploration at the core of the experience.
The name Vanways was created by combining “Van” and “Ways” into a single, memorable brand. The identity centers around a custom monogram that merges the V and W, incorporating subtle references to mapping and travel through a pin and compass-inspired form.
The visual system was designed to feel calm and grounded, drawing from natural tones found in the landscape such as green, tan, and sunset gold. Paired with a modern typeface, the brand creates a cohesive and recognizable presence across the fleet, helping Vanways stand out while reinforcing the spirit of travel and exploration.
